1. Previously all the numbers we used for texting and calling from a clinic were from a (405) area code number. Many clients reported being confused by this since it didn’t match up with the clinic's area code in their main number.

  2. We have changed our default TeleVet texting number away from a 405 number and to a 1-844 number.

  3. In addition, if you have text message notifications set up to your personal phone, those will now be sent from an 1-844 area code as well.

  4. In the future, you will also have the option to have a number assigned to your clinic that has a matching area code and be able to receive texts to that number.

  5. Text messages across the industry have a 98% read rate, so removing the confusion of showing an area code that does not match the client's location should further improve the read rates for your team's messages.
