There are many reasons your clinic may choose to encourage pet owners to schedule a TeleVet appointment, rather than an in-office visit.

TeleVet appointments can be convenient for many reasons, including but not limited to:

  • For pet owners, telemedicine can save time and provide a quicker resolution

  • For pets, telemedicine provides a platform for them to be evaluated without the stress of a car trip and for some, in-clinic anxiety

  • For vets, telemedicine provides a way to save time, generate more clinic revenue, and importantly to safely care for pets during COVID-19. In addition to this, telemedicine can provide an avenue for continued consult generation when a vet cannot be in-clinic or would like to work remotely (maternity leave, caring for sick family members, etc.). If your staff is working from home, your clinic is temporarily short-staffed, or it’s a very busy time, guiding pet owners to use TeleVet will help cut down on in-clinic traffic.
